My Topic

During the EIR second class, i chose this "discuss the developments and usage of Web 2.0 technologies/tools in knowledge management/sharing in organisations in Singapore" as my topic.The reason  i chose this is because Web 2.0 is the advanced Internet technology and applications, including blogs, wikis, RSS, and social networks.so i just wan to know more about it.During i search the information at organisational website, blog, magazine and discussion forum.I realised the advantage and disadvantage of it.

The Advantage list of them:

For organisation website - they provide more information and pictures about the topic compare with other resource.

For Blog - the blog owner sharing their knowledge, views and opinion about the topic.The way of they sharing their information sometimes quite interesting.

For magazine - normally all the information they provided is in detailed in that area.you can very easy to grap those key information from it.

For discussion forum - discussion forum can help you catch or share those information form diffrent views about the topic with people around the world.



The Disadvantage list of them:

For organisation website - sometimes the information they provided is too hard understand.Because maybe we are not a professional in the area that we are searching.

For Blog -  blog owner only sharing their opinion , views and experience,the information that they provide may not be correct.Because maybe they are not specific in those area.
                 
For magazine - All the information they provide mostly zooming in to some group people, example like businessman, adult, ladys, gentleman,etc.we cant understand if these topic is not related with us.

For discussion forum - people only share their views and opinion ,so we  not really gain information from it, because all information post form those people that you dont know may not accurate.

So in my opinion after i do the research, the organisation website is the best way to get more information compare with other resource.And, if i wan find my topic in diffrent views i will go and search for discussion forum, because what i need to do is just go and post a question and those free and friendly people will reply you.sometimes u may find what you are looking for.:)
